Paja

Autohallin pyörävaraston yhteydessä on askartelutila eli paja, jonne pääsee kohteen avaimilla. Tila on käytettävissä erilaisiin rakentelu-, korjailu- tai muihin vastaaviin projekteihin. Tilan kalustaminen ja varustelu on vielä hiukan kesken, mutta tila on silti jo kaikkien asukkaiden käytössä. Muistathan kuitenkin pitää huolen muutamasta asiasta tilaa käyttäessäsi.

Työskentely ja turvallisuus | Spraymaalit ja muut voimakkaita liuottimia (lakkabensiini, tärpätti, asetoni, yms.) sisältävät maalit ovat kiellettyjä. Niistä aiheutuu turvallisuusriski, koska tilan ilmastointi ei ole tarpeeksi tehokas. Kielto koskee myös lakkoja, liimoja (esim. epoksi) jne. Esimerkiksi vesiliukoiset ja öljymaalit ovat hyviä vaihtoehtoja maalaukseen niin puulle kuin metallille.

Suojaa kuulosi ja näkösi milloin se on tarpeen ja pidä huoli, että myös muut tilassa olevat tekevät näin. Jos käytät sähkötyökaluja niin vältä löysiä vaatteita, varo roikkuvia nauhoja äläkä käytä käsineitä, jotka saattavat juuttua koneeseen kiinni. Jos sahaat, poraat tai käytät muita teräviä työkaluja niin huolehdi, että työsi on tukevasti kiinnitetty jotta et vahingoittaisi itseäsi tai muita. Asukastoimikunta tai TOAS ei ota vastuuta työturvallisuudesta; jokainen on pajalla omalla vastuullaan.

Tilojen kunnossapito ja välineiden säilytys | Lähtiessäsi jätä tila siistimpään kuntoon kuin mitä se oli aloittaessasi. Lakaise roskat, tyhjennä tarvittaessa roskis ja laita yhteiset tavarat oikeille paikoilleen. Älä myöskään unohda omia työkalujasi pajalle. Käyttökelpoiset ylimääräiset materiaalit voit jättää muiden asukkaiden käytettäviksi niille erikseen osoitettuun paikkaan.

Huone ei ole varastointia varten. Mikäli sinulla on esimerkiksi maalaus kesken tai et muusta syystä voi viedä työtäsi asuntoosi tai häkkivarastoon, kiinnitä työhön lappu. Lapussa on oltava nimesi, asunnon numero, puhelinnumero ja päivämäärä jolloin työ on jätetty. Mikäli työssä ei ole lappua tai päiväys on yli viikon vanha, työ katsotaan yhteiseksi omaisuudeksi ja se voidaan hävittää.

Rules of the Craft Space

Craft space is a room where every tenant can do little crafts, fixings and other hand works. Below are some instructions that you should remember while working.

How to work safely | Aerosol paints, some glues (like epoxy) and paints and lacquers containing volatile solvents (turpentine, petroleum ether, acetone etc.) are not allowed in the space due to a lack of ventilation. Water and oil based paints and lacquers are good choice for both wood and metal.

Use protective equipment (like safety glasses, hearing protectors) every time they are needed and make sure that others do so, too. When using power tools, please remember a few things; do not wear too big clothing, beware of ribbons hanging from your garments and do not use gloves which can get stuck into machines. If you saw, drill or use other sharp tools, make sure that your work is firmly attached. The house committee or TOAS doesn't take responsibility for your safety.

Maintenance and storage | Leave the place tidier than when you came in! Sweep the floor, take out the trash if needed and put mutual tools and goods back in place. Also remember to take your own tools with you when you leave. Some spare "usable" material can be left in the workshop in a place separately designated for them. These materials are then in a free use of all.

The space is not a storage room. In case of your work is unfinished, for example, because of painting, and you are not able to take your work in your apartment or your stockroom, please tag a note onto your work. There shoudl be marked your name, number of your apartment, phone number and a date number when the work is left there. If there is not any note or the date is over a week old, the work is considered to be a common property and can be disposed.
